Two carte de visite portraits of Edmund Miles and his wife Elizabeth of Cambridge, Mass. The photographs were taken after Miles's service as a lieutenant with the 41st Mass. Infantry (which became the 3rd Mass. Cavalry in June 1863) during the Civil War. The photograph of Edmund was taken ca. 1868-1871 by David J. Pearson of Cambridge, Mass., and the photograph of Elizabeth was taken ca. 1874 by Eugene A. Holton of Boston, Mass.
